PTE Academic Tests

PTE Academic test measures listening, reading, speaking and writing all through the computer in a solitary three-hour test session. PTE Academic (The Pearson Test of English Academic) is a computer-based exam that takes approximately three hours to complete to complete. In addition, this includes an optional scheduled break of up to 10 minutes. There are three parts as below which are separately fixed with time slot.

• Section 1: Speaking and Writing-77-93 minutes
• Section2: Reading-32-41 minutes
• Section3: Listening-45-57 minutes

This computer-based exam will measure your skills of reading, speaking and listening with the mode of the test in given duration. Each section has a specific way to measure your skill . It depends on the assortment of items in a given test with different formats, including multiple-choice, re-ordered paragraphs, and filling in the blanks. Furthermore, the listening section mainly focuses on audio and recording to measure listening skills.

• Speaking & Writing: -
  You will be a veteran in your speaking and writing skills in the first part of the test. It will take 77 to 93 minutes to measure speaking and writing skills. This section will measure your spoken English in an academic environment which includes the personal introduction, repeat sentence, read aloud and more.
• Reading: -
  You will be examined for your reading skills in the second part of the test. It will take 32 to 41 minutes to measure reading skills. There are 15-20 independent and integrated skills items in this section. It depends on the assortment of items in a given test with different formats, including multiple-choice, re-ordered paragraphs, and filling in the blanks. This test was designed to examine the ability to read, write, and listen to information provided in English to a test taker.
• Listening:-
  The listening part is purely based on audio or video clips, which begin to play automatically. It will take 45 to 57 minutes to measure listening skills. The test taker hears each audio or video clip only once. As a result, the candidate must carefully listen to the provided audios. Test takers are allowed to take notes.
